  İkram KALKAN/Edirne Mimar Sinan Secondary School CULTURAL  IMAGES  OF OUR CITY EDIRNE Edirne has a rich inventory for Cultural Heritage.Historical Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling,Hıdrellez Festival,Bocuk Night Celebrations, Martenitsa,Edirne Tiles,broom with a mirror,fruit soap and cloth doll and Edirnekari art are our cultural heritage. As the most ancient sports organizations   of the world,the Kırkpınar tops the list as a faithful   guardian of the traditional and cultural values of our city and country with its 7 century long history. Hıdrellez is another celebration day on which the Prophets Al-Khidr and Elijah met on earth according to belief of Turks.Also the arrival of spring is celebrated.Hıdrellez starts on May 5 night and falls on May 6.People pray on this day whatever   their wishes are. İkram KALKAN/Edirne Mimar Sinan Secondary School WE HAVE DONE THE WEBINAR OF OUR E-TWINNING PROJECT BRIDGE OF CULTURES Our guest lecturer is Associated Proffessor Önder Ayer from Trakya University,Turkey and Erasmus coordinator at Mechanical Engineering Department.He has been many European Countries for conferences and students exchange programs.He has shared his experience and knowledge about cultures,Turkish cultural values,and richness,cultural diversity and historic plasesi of Turkey 61Teachers and students from project team have attended the webinar.We are grateful to our guest lecturer Assoc.Prof.Önder Ayer and all  participants.

İkram KALKAN/Edirne Mimar Sinan Secondary School E-TWINNING PROJECT BRIDGE OF CULTURE WEBINAR We have arranged webinar for our project Bridge of Cultures;our guest lecturer is Assoc.Prof. Dr Önder Ayer from Trakya University,Turkey Mechanical Engineering Department,Erasmus Departmental Coordinator.The webinar will be on 26 May, at 8:30 PM (7:30PM CET)about culture,cultural diversity,Turkish culture and historic sites in Turkey.
